That is the fight UFC president Dana White wants to happen and Ferguson would love to happen, but which the interim champ believes McGregor wants no part of.

Conor McGregor is reportedly in talks with the WWE and rumors are swirling that the UFC's lightweight champion will be making an appearance at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans next April. Check out the short interview with Tony below and look for much more from the MMA world coming soon. His thrilling third round submission of Kevin Lee punctuated his claim as the best fighter in the division.

White even went further suggesting that the fight could happen before the end of the year. It is insane but realistically, if that was boxing, for an event that size, a fight that big for the PPV numbers, I feel like the boxer would get that money or close to it. I think the fans deserve it. "You don't want every movie to be "Transformers" but when it comes it's hard not to get caught up in the hype and go to IMAX and go see it on the big screen and get caught up in the excitement, the drama and the explosions, the fireworks and all of that", he said to BoxingScene.com.

Conor McGregor last fought in the Octagon a year ago on November 12 at UFC 205 where he became the first fighter in history to simultaneously hold two UFC division titles. The Lee win and the title itself represent major accomplishments for "El Cucuy", but just as he does in the UFC promotional structure, Conor McGregor looms large on our lightweight list.

Dismissing Ferguson as the easier fight will certainly draw the ire of the interim champion but it will be up to the UFC to decide which of the two fighters McGregor faces next.

"I don't think he wants that grubby little belt to be in my hands because I'll enjoy it, and I will defend it".

"I honestly think that people would rather - like, I think people would rather see Conor vs. Diaz", he added. "The doctors already know that I'm not injured". But this time it looks like a deal is going to be locked into place."Last week, Stephanie McMahon discussed the possibility of McGregor making an appearance for WWE at a "Leaders in Sports" convention at Stamford Bridge."I think Conor would be a ideal fit with WWE", McMahon said. That really worked. Conor could do it for sure".

On the tougher opponent for McGregor: "For sure [Ferguson is a tougher fight than Diaz]. I'm ready to start training next week". "But either or, if Conor fights Ferguson or if he fights Diaz or whoever, you know yourself it's just gonna be an unbelievable experience and I'm looking forward to it". "I will probably defend my interim belt more times than that dude would ever defend that belt". Otherwise he needs to vacate, set it down, walk away, and never f*cking come back.
