Apple Is Forgetting the Common Man with Its New Products

But will it turn out to be?

I loved that my iPhone 4 refused to download apps.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has optical picture adjustment (OIS) on the two its back cameras, which will help diminish shaking when you shoot video and photographs, and help enhance low-light photography.

'The Note's just an S8 Plus with a stylus, ' a cynic might say, but the combination of dual cameras, S Pen, stunning screen and clever features certainly makes the Note8 unique. Apple was also a bit more daring in the bezel design, wrapping the display around the top sensor notch.

Imagine being able to get a new Apple iPhone, even with a modest configuration and small screen, for $99 or $5 a month. Samsung's phones don't limit you to just facial recognition; they also have iris scanners and fingerprint sensors. If you look closely, all of the infinity screen phones have some connecting tissue between the screen and body.

An updated chip along with a better screen is usually enough for Apple to release a new iPhone.

It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13MP primary camera, 16MP secondary camera and runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with a promised upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. The iPhone X retains the 3GB of memory included in the iPhone 8 Plus, and for that matter the iPhone 7 Plus. This a win-win for consumers, and the more phones that begin to offer this, the better. Even now, after its launch, Apple is struggling to manufacture the iPhone X. Samsung is reportedly Apple's only supplier of OLED displays and, as such, the phone won't be released for some time yet, and is expected to be in relatively short supply when it does eventually come out. While Samsung has had wireless charging for years, that did not really spur the segment.

Smartphone makers have sought new designs to get ahead in a market that is becoming saturated.

Is your phone still in fairly good condition?

iPhone users planning to replace their phones annually dropped from 27.8 percent to 16.0 percent over last year (in Chinese), according to a report from the research unit of Tencent Penguin Intelligence.

With the iPhone X, Apple has also boosted resolution and pixel density, from 1,334 x 750 (326 pixels per inch) on the iPhone 8 and 1,920 x 1,080 (401 pixels per inch), to a much sharper 2,436 x 1,125 (458 pixels per inch).

Apple's new iPhone X is special. With the iPhone X sporting one, you can rest assured that all manufacturers will be under pressure to offer at least one phone with the same feature. While for most of the early part of that decade, Android phones were playing catch up, with one iPhone killer coming after the other only to fall over the wayside, these phones have introduced features over the past few years that Apple didn't have. "It has been a great experience collaborating with Himax on the project to enable 3D computer vision technologies in smartphones, virtual reality and augmented reality products".

If Apple was interested in brand continuity, it would have produced an iPhone 9.

With the iPhone X generation featuring a six-core processor for the first time in the Apple flagship, both of these devices should be slick performers. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ come with a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity displays respectively.

Apple iPhone X has been the talk of the town for all its "revolutionary" features.

The Note 8 is, of course, a phablet with a bigger display, but there's a tradeoff in ergonomics.

Got your eye on that iPhone X, though? Edge to Edge display will soon become a norm in smartphone industry.

On one hand, if you're an Android devotee or you're looking for a tablet-smartphone hybrid, the Galaxy Note 8 may be up your alley.
