Neymar cleared to make PSG debut — Soccer

Neymar's world-record 222 million euros ($262 million) transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain was completed last week, but the Brazil international has yet to be granted permission to play.

According to the Sun, Mbappe was convinced after a meeting with PSG boss Unai Emery that guaranteed him regular first team football this season despite the £198m spent to prise Neymar away from Barca.

PSG wanted Neymar to start the season at the Parc des Princes last week against Amiens but his debut was delayed because his international transfer certificate (ITC) had not been received by the French league on time.

There has been speculation in France that Barcelona slowed down the whole process as a retaliation measure against PSG after the French league club lured one of its three biggest stars out of the Camp Nou.

Lacazette now has seven in five on the opening day - a run that began with a brace in Lyon's 4-0 win over Nice in 2013. That used to be an outrageous amount.

Describing the double swoop as a "blockbuster partnership", the paper says that the French outfit have won the race to the Monaco magician and the 18-year-old "is set to be unveiled as soon as Monday".

Danny Welbeck brought the Gunners level just before half-time and, though Vardy put Leicester back into the lead, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud came off the bench to secure a thrilling 4-3 victory.

On top of all of this, the hosts have already sold enough tickets for the encounter to set a record attendance at the Roudourou. These hero stories - that one is better than everyone and so on - I don't think that Neymar had that specific idea. It does not exist!

"These are complicated deals, but there is no missing document today".

Spaniard Emery has no doubt that his new arrival will help the team achieve those lofty goals, whether he makes his debut on Sunday or the following week against Toulouse.

The man from Mogi das Cruzes is about to get his first taste of the non-Champions League part of the challenge that he has taken on by moving to PSG from Barca, and it promises to be fascinating for all involved. I do not doubt that this will be quickly solved.
